Seller's Comments and Description: Numbers Matching: Although the frame and engine number are not identical, Kawasaki H2s are considered "numbers matching" when the two numbers are relatively close. In this case, the 68 digit difference between the two indicates, according to Kawasaki historians, that it is highly likely that this engine and frame were mated at the factory. Chassis:Frame and swingarm were powder coated correct 80% gloss. All other black parts are correct gloss or matte black powder coat. Front fork lowers were professionally polished then deglossed to replicate the original finish. Rear shocks are original and were rebuilt using the best parts available. Handlebars are original and correct with weighted ends and were re-chromed by Brown's - one of the best chromers until they recently closed shop. Frame/VIN # H2F24314Engine:Engine was rebuilt with new pistons, rods, bearings, seals,etc. The crank was rebuilt by Damon Kirkland who was legendary in the triples community before his passing. Crank is perfectly balanced. Crank case, heads, cylinders were all vapor blasted to create original finish and to minimize collection of oil and dirt. Carburetors were sonic cleaned and rebuilt with correct rebuild kits. Motor was assembled by Kevin Drnach. He has raced triples for many years. Body Work:Tank, side covers and rear cowl are all NOS - not repaints! There is some very slight fading on the tank stripes (see photos), but otherwise the paint quality is excellent with no dents or rust, side covers near perfect (left cover has a dime size slight fade area which is visible in cover photo on the top forward edge. Rear cowl has slight imperfection near hand rail mounts where paint has flaked (see photo) - hardly noticeable. Seat assembly is NOS, including cover which has no signs of wear. Brakes:Front calipers are original and extremely rare double disk set up. This was a dealer installed option. Calipers have been powder coated to correct gloss and rebuilt with all new parts. Pistons are stainless so they will never rust. Brake fluid is silicone fluid. Correct OEM 5/8" master cylinder was rebuilt with Kawasaki parts. New pads/shoes on front and rear brakes. Wheels/Tires:Front wheel assembly is NOS (Hub, spokes, correct gold nipples, etc.); Rear wheel is original wheel. Both wheels were chromed by Brown's - NOS spokes, gold nipples, fasteners used in reassembly. Exhaust:Exhaust pipes are original, not reproductions and were chromed by Browns.
