I acquired this porsche a few months ago from a local private sale. The car had been sitting for about 5 years in agarage under a cover. The car has never been stored outside, and there is absolutely no rust. The car has beenrepainted the original color and has 72,xxx miles. The paint is in fair condition, with a few imperfections (car isnot washed in any of the pictures). When i purchased the car i went through and did the basic maintenance, and the car fired right up after a newbattery. In addition i have:-sent the distributor to barry hershon at iae in detroit.-two refurbished front calipers from pelican because the front right was sticking.-misc maintenance. The car is not perfect, but i do drive it a 15 minute commute to work with no problems. I began the process ofreplacing gaskets on the motor to stop some oil leaks from the car sitting for so long (looks like possibly fromthe valve cover or head). There is still some work that needs to be done on the car i'm sure, i haven't driven itfar enough to burn off the residual oil on the exhaust. The car will need some tlc and a proper cleaning of theinterior, exhaust gaskets, and i'm sure a few odds and ends i haven't found yet. I originally wanted a track car, but cannot bring myself to cannibalize a perfectly good 911.

1977 targa 911 that was converted to a v8 slant nose wide body convertible. Engine: this is a v8 conversion i do not know what brand of conversion kit it is. I do not know what year the engine is or what it came out of or weather its a 4 bolt main or what. It has a edelbrock carb and headers it starts fine and runs good lots of power. Radiator is aluminum and is in the front. Body: this is a 1977 911 targa that was converted to a convertible and its also a v8 conversion with slant nose metal fenders in the front and fiberglass fenders in the rear quarters and rocker panels. Pant has a few flaws in it but over all looks ok. Top needs to be replaced it came out of a newer 911 not sure what year it came off of. Transmission: i believe the transmission is the original that came with the car it works well in all gears. There is no grinding or noises and clutch works as it should. I do not know if it has been rebuilt or not but transmission is smooth and working well. Brakes: brakes are good with 4 wheel disk brakes. Tires: tires need to be replaced. Over all car is in good condition and looks ok. Some of the lights do not work. Gas gage does not work. Radio does not work it needs an antenna but the blue tooth music does work. Car comes with a clean wisconsin tittle. Car is currently not registered. Car runs and drive good bit will need some going over to get it on the road safely. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions.

The paint presents well from any distance. The original color was talbot yellow, but continental orange was offered for this car in 1977. The re-paint involved a complete glass-out, engine-out process, and the result is a stunningly clear and clean finish, even in the engine and trunk compartments, and door jambs. Most of the body rubber on the car appears new or is new. There are a few small paint chips that were quoted at approximately $200-$300 to professionally repair. The body is super straight except for one shallow and not very noticeable dent on the driver’s side cowl just below the windshield (see pics). This car is vin number 9117212427 and engine number 6274833. The smog equipment (air injection and thermal reactors) has been deleted. The previous owner has spent over $8000 in the last two years on detailing out the car and miscellaneous repairs and upgrades. The engine runs great, and compression is good at 150, 155, 155, 145, 150, and 145. This car is ready to drive and enjoy now.

1977 porsche 911s targa with 58,478 miles. I am the second owner of this original california car. I believe that the car had about 45k on the clock at that time. The car came with complete documentation and receipts, but the treasure hunt continues to find that folder. History: during that time, the car was serviced by myself and consisted of oil changes, plugs, points and a couple valve adjustments. Sometime in the late 90’s it was evident that the cylinder bases were leaking a little and the split case was dripping. I took the car over to a ‘german car’ specialist in my small town who performed the following requisite work: cylinder base rings, new headbolt$ split case sealing and reassembly. Once the engine is out, there’s a bunch of other stuff that’s less expensive at that moment. The car was also upgraded with new carrera cam chain tensioners (very important upgrade to prevent catastrophic interference failures) and new clutch & pressure plate. The clutch and tensioner replacement was just a matter of convenience at the time. The total repair was about $5000. While the engine was disassembled, i polished all the aluminum covers. It looks pretty sharp back in the engine bay, but i should have done the fan also. By the way, the heat exchangers are in great condition. This car has never seen salt.
