This classic porsche needs nothing but to be enjoyed. Matching numbers, original color silver metallic with blackinterior, leather seats, original dash with no cracks, working factory air, cookie cutter factory wheels. Coaincluded, see photos. It's in excellent condition inside and out. The bottom is all factory paint and undersealwith no signs of rust, even in the usual areas. This car has been garaged in the sacramento valley and had a drylife! The original light lenses show some wear. The engine was pulled and all seals are new with upgraded chaintensioners. A complete tune-up was given, transmission checked while out with new clutch, brakes are new as well asshift bushings. Exterior shows well, paint is nice with no dents or chips. The vehicle had the color yellow and was repainted in original Porsche red. For sale here is a rare 914 1.7 from the year 1972. Only a small rust in the footwell of the passenger. There is some dirt in the paint but no noses. At the last auction the winner had no money. The engine runs clean and the transmissions switch well

Last painted 30 years ago andwill need to be re-painted (owner is Color Blind!) Some paint bubble areas onthe right side of the car below right rear window and along body rear of thedoor and the right front fender - these need to be addressed. I have examinedthese areas and I believe that they have resulted from poor paint prep and not"rust through." Complete underside is original. ORIGINAL floor pans, battery box etc!! The ONLY area of the underside ofthis car that needs repairs are the bottoms of the rear seats (an area in eachrear seat bottom measures roughly 3" x 5" needs replacement). Engine and trannyare original to this car. Runs very well with proper and original 1973 911 S MFIsystem! Transmission has the original Porsche LSD (limited slip Deep 6 Fuchs wheels on the rear with shallow Porsche 6 Fuchs on thefront (a nice look on these cars). Sunroof/Moonroof

An arizona car completely disassembled and rotisserie restored to a nearly new condition. Every componentinstalled was either rebuilt, refurbished or replaced with new parts. Rotisserie allowed full access to all areas for sandblasting to bare metal, rust removal then epoxy/urethane (dtm)primer followed by factory ivory color code in a basecoat/clearcoat system. The totally rebuilt 1971 cc engine has a 71mm stroke crankshaft; new engine seals and gaskets; new pistons, rings &cylinders; new oil pressure sender; heads checked for cracking, surfaces fly-cut and lapped; valve guides and seatschecked, valves lapped. Twin weber idf44 carburetors rebuilt with new kits & new idle mix screw seats; fully synchronized. New points, condenser, plug wires and spark plugs. Starter, alternator, and distributor rebuilt. New transaxle seals and clutch fork bushing, new shift linkage bushings at shifter and firewall. New cloth braided fuel hoses and new vapor recovery hoses. New cfr rotary fuel pump with new filters before andafter the pump. Interior has new carpet and original style vinyl seat covers and on door panels. Door and window mechanisms wererebuilt. New foil-backed fatmat material installed inside doors, floors and firewall. New rubber seals throughoutthe car from 914rubber. Original porsche leather wrapped steering wheel. Vintage restored kenwood cassette stereopowers 4"x6" factory located main speakers, front tweeters and active subwoofer concealed in center console -sounds great! Heater is full functioning. Removable top fits prcisely on top and in rear trunk. New brake rotors, master cylinder and brake hoses. Rebuilt brake calipers and new brake pads. New wheel bearingsseals. Steering rack cleaned, checked and lubricated. New front and rear anti-sway bar bushings. New drop linkbushings. Rebuilt wiper motor and headlight assemblies. Gas tank cleaned, fuel senderrefurbished and tested. Horns rebuilt and tested. Fog lamps rebuilt and tested. New 165x15 tires includingspare. This car has its original vin and body serial numbers, the engine is from the 1974-76 model years. Car runs great, everything works and with only 300+ lightly driven miles since full restoration. Very fun to drive and with a show-car finish!

Seller's comments and description: backdated to a 1973 rsr 911this car was raced back in the days were it achieved many first place wins and became a very famous race car in puerto rico. Recently has been returned to "street legal". It is an original 930 turbo porsche. Was told it was raced by diego febles and other professional drivers. Body is solid due to it been indoors in race team storage for many many years. Paint is old looks good but minor scratches and imperfections. 1973 porsche 911 carrera rsvin: 9113600595porsche is always at its best when met with a racing challenge. The immensely collectable 73 carrera rs is the result of such a challenge. Built as a response to ferrari’s 365 gtb daytona competizione, porsche created the light, nimble, and quick rennsport 2. 7. According to the rules porsche needed to build 500 road cars to meet the requirements. In 1972-73 a special production run of 500 cars handily accomplished the task. The car was so popular that two addition runs of 500 were made to fulfill demand for this street legal racecar. This car is from the beginning of the second run. He would compete in local slaloms and competitions with the car until he sold it in july of 1981 to another swiss gentleman, arno flach, with 107,615 km. Flach recalled having seen the car at the porsche dealership 8 years earlier before kistler picked up the car, and actually took a picture of it, which is included with the sale. Flach would also take the car out for a bit of competition from time to time, including a first place at the automobil-slalom altenrhein in 1982. The rs would move on to another swiss owner in 1986 with 145,000 km on the clock, and then shortly after it made its way to its first british owner in 1987. Jim ablett was an accountant at cognos limited in england, and he also fancied a bit of auto racing. In april of 1987 he first registered the car in the uk, and by july he was racing. From july 1987 to october 1989 he would enter the rs in almost 70 different events, including the pirelli porsche club gb championship, the pirelli autofarm modified porsche championship, the 750 mc racing championship, and the gordon russell intermarque championship. The car would be managed by porsche racer neil bainbridge, and bainbridge and canadian jacques robichon would occasionally co-drive with ablett. All of his efforts with the rs are documented in 5 binders full of race results, programs, pit passes, and newspaper/magazine clippings. In june of 1990 the rs was for sale at dick lovett limited in swindon, and on june 14thsimon white of cheltenham put a £1000 deposit down on the car. He would end up owning the car for the next 16 years. During that time he would work at bringing the car back to use as a street car, spending vast amounts at jaz porsche, legends, and mech repairs doing extensive mechanical and interior refurbishments, including a £8000 engine rebuild in 2001 and a new transmission in 2003. During his ownership the rs would be photographed byrobert de la rive box for use in his book, “darf es ein ferrari sein? Bugatti, ferrari, mercedes…” and would also be on the cover of classiccars magazine in may of 2006. In november of 2006 the car would change hands briefly to timothy underwood also of cheltenham. He would own the car for less than a year before the cars last owner, anthony lucas of bristol, would purchase it in october of 2007. In january of 2008 he would have autofarm of weston-on-the-green do a major mechanical service on the car, which would be follow by lucas’s participation in the pomeroy trophy the following month. Over the next few years he would have bs motorsports ltd do extensive work on the car including a full engine, transmission and lsd rebuilt. An interesting note is that bs motorsports is owned by neil bainbridge, the porsche expert that took care of the car during ablett’s racing days in the late ‘80s. At a dyno test in 2010 the car was putting out 216 hp @ 6450 rpm and 192 ft/lbs of torque @ 5260 rpm. Porsche options:electric windowsheated rear windowheadrests l&rsports seats l&rsold as is.
