We acquired this car in april of 2010. This car has been in restorationfor almost 6 years, the car was recently completed and just this june bakers auto of ct went over the whole car andmade all the necessary repairs to make sure this is a reliable and truly original 66 lincoln. It took us months tofind the correct car and this vehicle was a clean rust free, complete car with original paint and no prior bodywork. We have restored this car to its original condition; only a few small things have been upgraded like thebrake master cylinder, ac converted to r134a, dynamat added to the floor panel, and exterior color changed toblack; otherwise this car is completely original. No expense was spared to use nos or rebuilt parts to keep thecars originality and to make sure it drives and works like new, just like it was in 1966. All original parts weresaved and will be passed on to the new owner. This was not a frame off restoration but came very close to it. The only sheet metal part that had to be cut off and replaced was the battery tray; for some odd reason fordused cheap metal to make the trays therefore they always have to be replaced. At this time the vehicle has beendriven over 800 miles since it was put together. Each mile driven was used to make adjustments and fine tune it,bakers auto put on about 150 miles while testing driving the car. The car is painted inglobal ppg color bmw black sapphire metallic 475. The interior is done in white leather with black piping; the carpet is made by jim wallace of leatherrestorations in florida the only company making an exact carpet specifically made for this car and has a theoriginal rubber padding with the lincoln logo like the car had when new. The top is also made by jim wallace and isan exact replica of the factory top with padding to hide the wires. The top received all brand newweather-stripping; it took over 6 months to receive the handmade parts and the top weather stripping kit alonecosts over $4k. The entire top and window electronics work like new: all of the window switches have been replacedand all new window motors installed. All of the hydraulic top motors were replaced, with brand new parts. All of the rubbermoldings and padding all around the car are brand new. Over $8k has been spent just on the weather stripping. Theengine was rebuilt by complete engine rebuilding in ny in 2013. The transmission was rebuilt in july of 2015 bydolphin transmissions of ny. We supplied a complete fatsco rebuilt kit so everything including the valve body wasreplaced. The cooling system is all brand new including the radiator, expansion tanks and all the hoses. The fuelsystem was completely rebuild with new filter and most of the lines replaced. The carburetor was rebuild using alloriginal parts by j. Carburetor of ny, the fuel pump was rebuild by bakers auto in ct and the fuel tank byliberty auto in ny. The ac system has been updated to r134a: every part from the condenser, ac compressor, hoses,expansion valves are brand new; the only rebuilt part is the evaporator. Just this june bakers tested the acsystem. The rear leaf springs and the suspension w. Air Conditioning
