Jeep is eager to introduce newer, more modern, more aerodynamic products, such as the upcoming liberty. All 2001 cherokees will be powered by a 4. 0-liter, overhead-valve inline-6. Edelbrock carb and intake. Flexalite aluminum radiator and thermostat controlled electric fan. Transmission: tci th350, 2200 stall tci convertor, b and m vintage shifter, advance adapters coupling for the engine and tranny swaptransfer case: dana 300 fully rebuiltdriveshafts: front and rear both custom tom woods driveshafts. Double cardan in the rear, absolutely no vibration up to 70 mph! Havent had jeep above 70mphsuspension: 3" suspension lift with needed shocks, drop pitman arm, also has 1" body lift. Steering: has new power steering box with aftermarket heavy duty mount, all steering components replaced in front during the build. Has new power steering pump. Brakes: new master cylinder and vacuum assist for power brakes, new stainless brake lines, new braided brake hoses, also new proportioner. Wheels and tires: 15 x 10 " steel wheels painted to match military theme, tires are new pit bull rockers 35 x 14. 50 x 15. Wiring: new painless performance harness, new autometer gauges w/ mechanical oil pressure and water temp gauges in a custom dash, led tailightsstereo: sony head unit, polk audio 2 channel amp, kicker waterproof tubby speakersseats: low back covered in military drab canvas with military drab seat beltseverything was assembled using grade 8 or stainless steel fasteners! Also: new flat fenders for a more military look, new gas tank, new hood, new rear heavy bumper with receiver and padeyes, new hot rod heater.

Originally a CA car (except for the last 2 years it's been here in Key West), I bought it in the San Francisco Bay Area after someone had crashed into the rear while it was parked on the road. Anyway, after I bought the truck, I quickly realized it was in worse shape than I thought - bad transmission (old borg warner garbage), the rims were bent, the entire back half of the truck was crushed. This is a left hand drive, but I suspect that someone changed it to LHD before I got it

This 1977 cj5 golden eagle represents the best of the classic "old school" cjs, and combines the rugged good looks of the traditional off-roader with daily driver friendliness that includes a v8 powerplant, comfortable seats, and an effective stereo system. Fortunately, this golden eagle is a limited edition that stands out with its color scheme. It's also a southern vehicle, so it's lived a gentle and charmed life in warm weather. The golden eagle graphics pop to all that gaze upon them, and tie into the jeep's distinctly american heritage. Inside, the jeep is basic, but that also means that it's virtually indestructible. Have some fun with the top and doors off and don't think twice about going off the beaten path, that's the name of the game. The seat covers are recent, so they fit well and are quite comfortable for a day of play, and the floor has been covered in fresh tan carpets that give it a surprisingly upscale vibe. There is also a modern am/fm/cd/ipod stereo system, which powers a pair of pioneer speakers perched on the tops of the rear fender wells. Power comes from amc's rugged and reliable 304 cubic inch v8, which makes this cj5 a bit of a hot rod on the road and unbeatable on the trail. A 2-barrel carburetor helps with the horsepower production, but for the most part it's the same trail-rated machinery that has been doing the job for decades. The suspension is fortified with a lift kit and off-road shocks all around, and a set of long-tube headers and side pipes give it just the right grumble and may even free up a few horsepower. That off-road-ready stance comes from a set of 32x11. 5-15 bfg all-terrain tires on flashy mickey thompson classic aluminum wheels. Tradition is alive and well for jeep fans, and the golden eagle cj5 holds a very special place in the off-roading hall of fame. Turn-key and ready to take on all-comers, this cj won't last long.
