I have owned this car for over 15 years garage kept since 2003. It is a number matching 2 door skylark I intended to turn into a GS clone. Not willing to split up parts as I have been collecting hard to find items for this car for over a decade & would like to see it all go to one owner. Car currently in primer with light surface rust. Medium rust in trunk floor but NOS trunk floor provided in extras. Solid body straight frame clean history. Currently has an original 1967 Gran Sport grille & original 67 GS hood with scoops already on car. Still has automatic column shifter. Currently has installed 350 from a Chevy Monte Carlo with Chevy tranny. Also a Stock Number: C159716L.

This gs/400 is a dealer demonstrator car purchased new at goshen buick in goshen n. By my cousin who worked forthe dealership. I have the factory buick warranty protect o plate, copy of his birth certificate, original ownersconvertible top and car manuals. He later moved to las vegas in the mid 70's. I purchased the car in 2008 and isnow located in arizona. This gs/400 is an unrestored car with one repaint {lacquer paint}. I would rate it a a-. The seats, deluxe seat belts, door panel dash and spare tire are original. From what i can tell the car has neverbeen hit, no rust and was always garage kept. The underside of the car is undercoated and looks as nice as new. Theconvertible top was new when i purchased the car and looks great. The original spare tire still has factory yellowstamping on the thread and is like new. Original factory part # stickers still on the jack assembly. Aluminumfront drum brakes. Original deluxe seat belts like new with factory tags still in place. The 400 engine with solidlifters & flow master exhaust sounds awesome ! I have gone to many car shows and have yet to see a 1967 gs/400 let alone a 4speed red on red with a whiteconvertible top. General motors rankings;chevrolet chevelle ss, pontiac gto, oldsmobile 442 and top of the line buick gs/400.

Built on the same gm platform that brought us the chevelle, buick's grand sport just feels like it's a bit more sophisticated, without sacrificing performance. This luxury/performance dual personality was the true mission of the gs, and few were willing to pay for it (only 2,140 gs 400 droptops were produced in '67.) buick's designs were coming into the modern era during this time. There's an impressive beak-like pointed front end shared with its skylark sibling. Also at this time, buick had done away with gratuitous chrome on their cars. This makes the well-integrated bumpers and iconic fender slashes impressive standout styling elements. But what really sets this car apart are the '60s sporting touches, such as the dual hood scoops, aggressive red line in the grille, original gran sport badging, and iconic mag-style rallye wheels. We all love how the new white soft top looks against the bold red paint, but with just one touch of a button, the power roof folds down to reveal an even more impressive interior. All the best original trim is still in place, from the chrome gs 400 badges on the door panels, to the buick crest sitting below the dash. The interior has pristine seating for five, but the driver gets all the real treats. After all, nothing beats grabbing the stylish red buick steering wheel and gazing at the original gauge package that's as long as the horizon. Under the hood this car proudly shows off a correct 400 cubic-inch powerplant. It had an advertised 340 horsepower, but remember, those were days of underrating for the insurance people. The ultra-clean engine bay has bright dante red paint on the block, unique ribbed valve covers, and that cool factory air topper everything that people love to see at the car shows. There's also been good maintenance with items like new hoses and hood insulation. And that's assured by nice driving features like the three-speed automatic transmission and power steering. We love the buick gs 400 for being a speedy luxury machine.
