I recently retired and have decided to sell off some of my vintage carcollection. For sale is a frame off rotisserie restored AMX that I've owned for over 21years now. The attention to detail and dedication to originality was the done to thehighest standard in the AMC world. It has the striking color combo of FrostWhite w/Red vinyl factory stripe and Red Leather bucket seat interior. This isan original Factory Go-Pack car which included the functional Ram Air set up,power 4 piston disc brakes and the locking differential. This car is alloriginal with the original factory "born with" 390 Ram Air engine, Borg Warnerautomatic transmission and the AMC posi-traction 3:15 rear end. The originalcarburetor was restored by Jon Hargrove aka "The Carb Doctor". All bodyrestoration & paint work was professionally done by TCR Custom in Sanford, NC. The car runs excellent and has virtually no miles since being restored. Ipurchased this car as a barn find in 1996 with 58,699 original miles (currentmileage) and it had been in storage for a long time. I had always loved the AMX2 seat muscle cars and this was a perfect car to restore as it was a completeoriginal running car with minimal rust. The body was acid dipped to remove allof the old paint and rust of which the rust was very minor. The body panels suchas quarter panels doors, hood and one fender are the original to the car. Onefender was replaced from a fender bender early in it's life. All componentswere rebuilt & restored to factory specs. The body and paint work are showquality.

Stand out from the crowd of camaros & mustangs with this stunning '72 amc beauty! Completely rust free body with photo documentation of 2004-2008 restoration. Correct trans-am red paint code with added two-tone black accents and a factory black corduroy interior. She has a 1972 "p" code 360 4bbl engine. Hand fabricated custom coachwork by rodney snyder of pa, includes steel ram air hood, functional side exhaust with new x-pipe and flowmasters, air dam, side gills & rear brake vents. Factory spoiler & vinyl halo roof, factory a/c that blows ice cold, floor shift auto trans, power steering, power disc brakes, brand new magnum 500s with cooper cobra tires. Brand new holley carburetor. Tons of receipts from the last 10 years- over 3k alone spent on completely rebuilding the ac system. She's totally reliable and fully capable of daily driving--or take it to the show for something unique! For the amc purists out there- the javelin can easily be taken back to stock, however it's my opinion that mr. Snyder has improved on the original body lines. No disappointments--i have her insured with a classic car company for an agreed upon value of $30,000. The car has a clean florida title and has never been in an accident that i could find any signs of. She's drop-dead reliable. The engine temp never gets above 1/2 way even when stopped in summertime florida traffic. Oil pressure is very good- over 60psi at start up & 30psi when warm and idling. The transmission shifts slick and smooth. No electrical issues-- all lights function as they should. I have tried to describe the javelin as accurately and honestly as possible but please remember it is a 45-year old vehicle. As with any vehicle there may be issues that i have overlooked or am unaware of. Air Conditioning

Seller's comments and description: pulled apart the interior, putting in new insulation and a carpet kit, flo-fit seats, rjs harness belts, dash pad, gauges and a stereo. From there i started on the motor and drivetrain. The engine is a rare 1970 dog leg port 390 with a group 19 factory cross-ram. The block was bored . 030"over, de-burred and blue printed with oil by-pass line, with remote oil filter and oil cooler. Pistons are forged 401 . 030", with re-con rods balanced and shoot peened. Block, rods and crank were also mag-flex. Dog-leg heads are ported and polished with screw in guides and harden seats. Group 19 cam with roller rockers. Running a richmond 5-speed with a 3:27 1st gear and 1:1 in 5th gear. Hurst shifter and linkage. Lakewood scatter shield and centerforce clutch on a ome flywheel. Stock rear end with 3:15 gears and a trac-loc posi. Rare factory free flow exhaust manifolds run into 2-1/2" x pipe then out 4" supertrapp'sthe x does need paint and body. It has a fiberglass trunk lid with the spoiler built in alone with the end caps too. There are small door dings and the paint has chip in many location. I started to scrap the paint off of the roof one night and that is the reason for the primer red on the roof. The bumpers are straight but need to be re-chromed. All stainless steel trim is on the car. The car was and is fun to drive. I have gotten it up and running and it still runs great. Also comes with the 360 motor and t-10 trans .
