History the introduction of the mustang in late 1964 created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The mustang's styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition including camaro, firebird, cougar and others. The 1966 ford mustang was the highest production mustang in all 53 years it has been in production. The world had caught mustang fever after the introduction of the 1964 1/2 model, and ford was working double time to try and keep up with demand. The factory in dearborn, michigan pumped out a whopping 607,568 mustangs between august of 1965 and july of 1966. That is what we have here, a great 1965 ford mustang resto-mod, at skyway classics. The 2+2 mustang fastback is painted in a smooth red/orange color (rangoon red is the original color) in a 2-stage paint. All the lines of this mustang are great and straight as an arrow. It has a set of racing stripes from front to the rear, a shelby hood scoop, side louvers, fog lights, and even a 302 engine emblem to match the 302 engine in the mustang. This is an original c code 289 mustang that now has a modified 302 v8 4 barrel, it has a host of high performance engine mods including carb, aluminum intake, billet aluminum performance valve covers, high performance distributor ignition and spark plug wires, and much more. The optional "pony interior" of this 65 has black bucket seats with a console, sport steering wheel, 5 speed manual transmission shifter, ps, pb, fold down rear seat, gt gauges, am/fm cassette player, floor mats, seat belts, and is immaculate. This mustang rides so well because it is equipped with black chrome custom mag wheels w/3-point spinners on performance tires, performance suspension upgrades and shocks, traction bars, and sway bars. Availability this 1965 resto-mod mustang we have is clean underneath, sounds great and run great. Don't miss out on this classic ride we have at skyway classics. Skywayclassics. Com/blog.
