This is a great way to enter the up and coming world of japanese classics. There are a few affordable 1972 datsun 240zs still remaining out there, but likely none compare to this one. The bright orange paint is perfect for 1972, and it's easy to see why these cars were game-changers when they were new. With styling that borrows from many but copies none, it has a fantastic long hood appeal that made cars like the corvette and e-type into icons. Paint and bodywork have remained unaltered for nearly 45 years as far as we know. And this one stays true to the period right down to the details. The side stripe, rear window louvers, and slotted mag alloys are all part of what the dealer loved to give loaded cars in the 1970s. The result is an exceptionally well-preserved time capsule, which is what's hot on the classics scene right now. The original z-car was made for two, and this one sports inviting black buckets inside a nicely preserved interior. In true japanese fashion, they took what was already great about contemporary sports cars and enhanced it with user-friendly design and unimpeachable reliability. As a result, the cockpit talks directly to the driver with no interference from quirky ergonomics or heavy control actions. Instead, the speedo and tach are set into twin round pods with a trio of auxiliary dials set up high on the dash. Under the hood is as nicely preserved and maintained as the rest of this coupe. Datsun's 2. 4-liter inline six-cylinder has always looked great with its long block filling the long engine bay. Not only is this powerplant original to the car, but also it has been serviced properly, including fuel pump, distributor, battery, plug wires, and much more. All of this is to help ensure that this motor reliably upholds the 240zs reputation for delivering rev-happy performance.
